Singing River Gulfport unveils new CT Scanner for cardiac imaging

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Singing River Hospital in Gulfport is now the first on the Mississippi Coast to offer a new groundbreaking technology.

The revolutionary apex CT scanner is now installed at the hospital, marking one of the most significant breakthroughs in cardiac imaging.

The scanner can capture a clear picture of the heart in as little as half a second, reducing motion blur during fast or irregular heartbeats. It also uses AI technology.

The speed and precision of the new technology gives doctors more reliable images, allowing them to quickly and accurately diagnose patients.

The new CT scanner has been in use for about a week and cardiologists at the hospital say it has already helped them tremendously.
