Singing River Federal Credit Union in Moss Point all clear after bomb threat

Moss Point, MS: On January 8, 2021 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Singing River Federal Credit Union received a bomb threat at their Moss Point office located at 6006 Highway 63, Moss Point, MS.

A male came into the lobby, demanded cash and proceeded to place a small package at the teller line. He then stated that the package contained a bomb and exited through the front doors.

Employees were immediately evacuated from the building and law enforcement quickly responded to the call.

At approximately 4:30, law enforcement gave the all clear and employees were able to re-enter the building and complete the day serving members.

Local police dog, “Jester” from SRHS, was brought in to check out the bomb and alerted that it was a fake.

In a statement, Singing River Federal Credit Union officials say: “We do apologize for the inconvenience that was caused to our members who were trying to use our Moss Point office or call in to our offices during this time. Thank you for understanding while we kept our staff safe from any potential harm.”
