Shuckers Open the Season Thursday

The countdown until opening day for the Biloxi Shuckers continues. Thursday the Shuckers host the 2015 Southern League champion Chattanooga Lookouts.
Biloxi has played two tune-up games at MGM Park to prepare for the new season. The Shuckers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers and won 17 to 0 against Jackson State University. The next game will count in the win-loss column as the Shuckers face the team that defeated them in last year’s championship series.
First year Biloxi Manager Mike Guerrero is hoping the team is able to have a good start to the season. “I’m looking for the guys to start the season on the right path. I think we are looking for a lot of chemistry to develop throughout the season. I am looking at a team that has a lot of heart and plays as hard as they can every day.”
The season will get underway Thursday at 6:40 p.m. at MGM Park. Biloxi opens the season with seven home games in a row.
