Shuckers erupt in second inning en route to 11-7 win over Biscuits

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — The Biloxi Shuckers got ahead and stayed ahead in their 11-7 win over the Montgomery Biscuits, thanks to a seven-run bottom of the second inning.

Seven straight Shuckers reached base, including a two-out grand slam from 2023 first-round pick Brock Wilken (Wake Forest) in his first-ever Double-A game, followed by Wes Clarke’s Southern League-leading 25th home run of the season on the very next pitch.

Biloxi now needs three more wins over its final five games in order to crack the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
