Shuckers eight game win streak sets new franchise record
On Sunday, the Biloxi Shuckers completed their first five-game sweep in almost a year which also came against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp last May.
The Shuckers have now won eight consecutive games at MGM Park which is a new franchise record. Much like Biloxi’s franchise record overall eight-game winning streak set last month except this eight game roll started on April 22nd versus the Montgomery Biscuits.
From streak-to-streak, the Shuckers are still as hot as they’ve been all season once again riding the longest winning streak in the Southern League.
Not to mention, their overall record of 20-10 heading into Monday’s games is tops in either division and good for a six-and-a-half game lead in the South. Their 12-3 home record is also a league-best.
Tonight the Shuckers played the Montgomery Biscuits. The Biscuits win in an 11-0 shutout.
