Shuckers ask fans to donate Hurricane supplies
The Biloxi Shuckers are asking fans to step up to the plate and join them in helping hurricane victims.
The Shuckers just finished helping their rival team from Jacksonville, Florida make hotel reservations on the Coast in the wake of Irma. Now, staff from the Double A team is heading out to Texas for Harvey relief effort.
A crew of Biloxi Shuckers staff members plan to help the Corpus Christi Hooks baseball staff in the Texas area recovering from Harvey’s floods. Creative Services and Production Manager Amy Johnson said, “For me, Texas is home to me. I’ve got family and friends down there. It’s great that other staff here that have lived through Katrina are willing to go relive that just to help out other people. It’s just really cool that we’re all coming together to do that.”
Staff members will also be distributing supplies to families in Corpus Christi and the surrounding area. Anyone wanting to help can drop off supplies at the MGM Park box office during regular business hours.
