Shrimp season starts in Mississippi on Monday

The Gulf Coast shrimp fleet will drop its net in Mississippi waters on Monday for the start of shrimp season.

The 2025 season begins bright and early at 6 a.m. All boats must be licensed or permitted by the Mississippi Department of Maritime Resources.
