Shooting on Gregory Drive in Moss Point

The Moss Point Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Gregory Drive.
According to Chief Calvin Hutchins, the police department received a call from Singing River Hospital reporting a male victim was in the emergency room with multiple gunshot wounds.
Twenty-eight year-old Meco Brown told officials he was approached by three to four black male suspects in his driveway and they began firing shots at him.
Brown managed to escape on foot and flagged down a motorist who took him to the hospital. He was treated for his injuries and is now in stable condition.
News 25 spoke to Moss Point resident Jerry Waire whose car got hit by one of the stray bullets. “The neighbor told me they had that shooting last night and I said no I heard some shooting, but I thought it was fireworks. Until this morning I went to go pay some bills then I saw a bullet planted across my hood, hit off my hood, hit my windshield and cracked it. I want my car fixed. It was a brand new car.”
