Shooting at Family Dollar in Biloxi leaves one injured

On Saturday, Biloxi Patrol Officers responded to the a Family Dollar located in the 600 Block of Division Street, after the Biloxi Communications Center received a report of a person being shot.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Members of the Biloxi Fire Department and Pafford Emergency Services responded to the scene for medical assistance.

Pafford later transported the victim to an area hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury. During the course of the investigation, it was reported that three alleged unknown suspects attempted to forcefully take property from another person on scene.

The victim intervened in an attempt to prevent the robbery, but was shot in the process. The alleged suspects were last seen running northbound from the area. At the time of the release, no additional details are available.
