Shooting Arrest Gulfport Cortez Winters

A Gulfport teenager is behind bars after a shooting over the weekend.
18 year old “Cortez Winters” is charged with shooting into a dwelling, possession of a weapon by a felon, and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
Police were called to a home on old pass road Saturday when a woman claimed someone fired shots into her residence. She and her children were not injured during the gunfire.
Police later discovered Winters was the suspect and the gunfire was the result of an argument between Winters and another male.
Winters is being held on 450 thousand dollar bond.
