Shelter in Need of Donations

A place that aims to support women in need is now in need of your help.
The Sisters Strengthening Sisters Women and Children Shelter has been serving the Gulf Coast community since 2009. Women from all different walks of life check in for the chance at a new beginning.
The shelter provides networking opportunities, hot meals, and clothes for residents, but staff members say they can’t do it without the help from the community.
The shelter is asking for donations such as canned goods, household cleaning items, women’s clothing and children’s clothing in order to make the holidays a little brighter for the families currently staying there. Sisters Strengthening Sisters Shelter CEO Debra Fox said, “You have so many women out here that are sleeping on the streets simply because they cannot pay their rent. We are here for them to help accommodate them. Get them out of the element and give them a place to be until they can get their life together.”
