The Shed competing in the World Championship BBQ Contest

Competing in the World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest for the 16th year, the Shed BBQ and Blues Joint is preparing to take home another win and grand prize of $50,000.

Last year, the Memphis in May World BBQ Cooking Contest was canceled due to the pandemic, however, this year it is back!

This year is limited to only the best BBQ competitors. The Shed has brought back home two world championships from the Memphis in May competition and this year they’re gearing up to take home the third.

Due to COVID, the team had to be reduced 50 percent in size and everyone must mask up and take extra safety precautions.

The team is set to leave on Monday and hopes by next Monday to return to the Coast with the trophy in hand. The Shed Co-Founder Brad Orrison said, “Memphis in May has been around 37 years. We have taken the whole hog category three times. We’ve won beef, poultry, and this year we are looking to win seafood, the exotic category, which we do lamb, and of course the whole hog and the grand championship.”
