Sexual Battery Life Sentence
A Pascagoula man is sentenced to three life sentences for sexually abusing a relative.
According to the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office, 45-year-old Spartacus Alford was found guilty of two counts of sexual battery, one count of attempted sexual battery, and one count of touching of a child for lustful purposes after a two day trial. The jury deliberated just over fifteen minutes before returning their verdict.
Circuit Judge Kathy Jackson ordered that the defendant serve the maximum sentence of life in three cases and the maximum penalty of 15 years in count four.
The sexual abuse occurred in 2012. Alford, who was the great uncle of the victim, lived with the victim and her family during that period of time.
