Severe Weather Hits Mississippi
Severe weather has hit the Coast.
Emergency Management Director in Harrison County Rupert Lacy says to make sure to be paying attention to the weather because high winds, heavy rain and possible tornado watches could be in effect.
If possible, avoid driving on wet roads and make sure your radio is turned on to hear possible alerts for tornado watches and warnings.
Behind this front, colder weather is on its way. “Anybody going north tomorrow, possibly going into Saturday, they could possibly see some winter precipitation on the ground or icy conditions. Down here, we’re going to see temperatures drop down on the beach, down to about 31 degrees,” said Lacy.
Make sure if you live close to the beach to protect your water pipes and bring in all plants and animals to avoid freezing.
