Seventh annual Run for the Beads

Mardi Gras is just around the corner. This weekend, put on your beads a little early and grab your sneakers for the Run for the Beads One Mile Fun Run and 5K.

Saturday marks the seventh year the Gulf Coast Carnival Association is holding the event. If you haven’t pre-registered you can still do so tomorrow at 7:45 for $25 at the Biloxi City Hall.

The one mile fun run begins at 8:45 a.m. and the 5K gets started at 9 a.m. The race ends at the Biloxi Town Green with drinks, entertainment, and meal provided by Half-Shell Oyster House.

Awards will be given to first, second, and third place winners.
