Setting up for the Gulfport Harbor Lights Festival

Gulfport is gearing up for the most wonderful time of the year.

They’ve already started setting up for the Gulfport Harbor Lights Festival, you’ll be able to see those familiar trees of light driving down Highway 90 very soon.

The City of Gulfport is doing a couple things different this year.

They’ll be having all their discount days Monday through Wednesday. So, if you’re eligible for a discount you will have multiple opportunities to go.

They will also be offering wristbands on weekdays that will allow guests unlimited rides.

The animatronic reindeer are back with Santa this year, plus they are adding more trains.

These changes were created with locals in mind. Jase Payne with Gulfport Public Relations said, “We really want to drive local traffic to these weeknights so locals can come in and really enjoy the show. Not get too packed on the weekend because we do know, with good weather there will be thousands of people in the park on the weekend. So, we just want locals to know they have that option on the weekday for a discounted price. You can buy an armband so kids get to ride all night long.”

The show opens on Black Friday and tickets go on sell November 1st.
