Sentenced for manslaughter
Twenty-five year-old Sandra Goff was sentenced to 30 years in prison today for the murder of Michael Lossett in Gulfport in 2018.
Goff pled guilty to manslaughter and taking away a motor vehicle which is an additional ten years to the 20-year manslaughter sentence.
The shooting happened in August 2018 on River Road where Gulfport police found Lossett dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Goff told the court that the day of the shooting she told Lossett and Teer to leave her home where they’d previously been told not to be without the homeowner.
Goff claims Lossett charged at her and that’s when she shot him. Reports claim that at the time of the shooting, Goff was high on meth and hadn’t slept in over 24 hours.
Teer was ultimately indicted by the grand jury for accessory after the fact to murder and pled guilty on August 12th, 2019. Her sentencing is set for later this month.
