Seniors celebrate at eighth annual Halloween spectacular

You are never too old to enjoy Halloween and members of the Red Barnett Senior Center hosted their eighth annual Halloween Spectacular today.

Senior citizens put on their best costume, face paint, and their dancing shoes to celebrate Halloween at the Biloxi Civic Center.

Guests 55 years and older browsed from table to table visiting with over 35 vendors while enjoying candy, music, games, and door prizes.

There was even a special show presented by the Dixie Hip Shakers. Red Barnett Senior Center Director Jaime Smith said, “When they come in, they see people maybe they haven’t seen in many years. So, they get to catch up, they get to mingle. It’s just an exciting time for them.”

Once the seniors worked up an appetite, food was prepared by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
