Senior Awareness Fair

The circus pulled into the Jackson County Civic Center today.
Okay, it wasn’t quite the circus, but this morning the “Under the Top” Jackson County Senior Awareness Fair took over the fairgrounds.
The circus-themed event featured dozens of seniors visiting well over 50 vendors which ranged in everything from hospice care to rehab services.
The event’s coordinator tells News 25 today’s event is the culmination of six months of hard work. Jackson County Senior Awareness Fair Chairwoman Kellie Neuman said, “Share information that they might need that might impact a senior’s life. We think that’s the important part for them to take home from this. Secondly, we feel that it’s just a great place to come and have a fun time, listen to some great music, socialize and have a nice meal.”
