Senator Hyde-Smith meets Defense nominee Pete Hegseth

U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde Smith sat down with Defense Secretary Nominee Peter Hegseth.

Hyde-Smith met with Hegseth on Tuesday afternoon. Hyde Smith and Hegseth met to discuss his outlook as President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to be secretary of Defense.

In a post on social media, Hyde-Smith went on to say, “This process is already showing he has the fortitude to take on a tough job, and I will be supporting his confirmation.”
