Seminary woman dies in one-vehicle crash in Pearl River County

A 23-year-old Seminary woman died Tuesday morning as a result of a one vehicle crash in Pearl River County.

Mississippi Highway Patrol said Katelyn Marie Baker was traveling north on Highway 11 about 9:45 a.m. when her 2018 GMC Yukon left the roadway and hit a tree.

Baker suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

Her social media profile shows that she worked as a health care professional. Baker also played softball in high school at Seminary and at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

MHP said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
