Semi overturns near Menge Avenue on I-10, causing traffic delays

Mississippi Highway Patrol is at the scene of an overturned 18-wheeler partially blocking the right lane of Interstate 10 near Menge Avenue.

Wet roads due to intermittent rain are also causing delays.

Travel lanes will be blocked periodically as emergency crews clear the scene. MHP says the truck was hauling household supplies, including pesticides. MDEQ will be adding a neutralizing agent to any leaking products as part of the cleanup.

Be advised of slow moving traffic in the area. Use caution and be prepared to stop.
