Secretary of State on Voter Turnout
Mississippians have paid attention to the presidential race and are turning out. Those were the words from Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann today.
Hosemann gave a report on Election Day within the state. He tells News 25 there were two minor machine problems in Jackson and Madison counties, but both were resolved quickly so the lines could continue moving smoothly.
Hosemann also says the rain did not seem to dampen the turnout. He’s hoping that over a million people will vote in our state.
Hosemann tells News 25 there are 10,000 people working at 18,000 different precincts across the state.
