Secretary of State Michael Watson launches run for lieutenant governor

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)-Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson is throwing his hat into the ring for another statewide office in the 2027 state elections.
The Jackson County native was in Pascagoula Tuesday morning to kick off his campaign for lieutenant governor.
It was the first of many stops Watson has made in South Mississippi, and he’ll continue his campaign’s launch in other parts of the state over the next two days.
In his remarks today, Watson talked about being a conservative fighter for Mississippians and the need to tackle big state issues in the next few years, especially in the realms of healthcare and education.
