Second Moss Point Man Dies in Crash

A third victim has died as a result of Sunday’s bus crash in St. John Parish.
Louisiana State Police confirm 33-year-old Vontravis Kelly of Moss Point died this morning from injuries he obtained in the crash. Kelly is the second victim from the Gulf Coast. Twenty-one year-old Jermaine Starr of Moss Point also died in the pile up.
Officials say the bus driver, Denis Amaya-Rodriguez, was in the country illegally and had no driver license at the time of the crash. Amaya-Rodriguez faces multiple charges including negligent homicide.
