Second hockey game of the year in Biloxi at the Coliseum tonight

Tonight is the second pro hockey game in Biloxi this month. After a seven-year hiatus, pro hockey games are back at the coliseum.

These games are to see if the community would support their own pro hockey team in the Sea Wolves. So far, organizers have been more than pleased with the results.

The coliseum even had to add additional seating for tonight’s match to support the demand for tickets. Association’s VP of Sales Kory Dumond said, “If you would have told me a couple of years ago when I moved down here that we would have 5,500 to 6,000 fans here rooting on teams not even from the area for a hockey game in December, I would have told you that you were crazy, but here we are. I couldn’t be more excited. We’re excited to see the way the community is trying to embrace what we’re trying to do.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the puck drop is at 7 p.m. tonight.

Be sure to bring a stuffed animal for the teddy bear toss. They’ll be collected for local children in need.

Depending on the outcome of all three games, the Sea Wolves could be back in Biloxi by next October.
