Second annual Baby Olympics

Good competition and high energy are what surrounded the Baby Olympics.

Friends and family gathered at the Salvation Army Kroc Center to cheer on their little ones. Babylympics was hosted by JZ 94.5 and the Salvation Army.

There was a great turnout with around 60 babies and toddlers participating. Crawling, pushing boxes, baby walkers, and running were all part of the competition for these cuties.

All of the events were separated by ages, ranging from six months to three-years-old. Parents and those guiding the babies during the races really got into it. Some even brought supportive signs and made special t-shirts.

Although the competition was fierce, everyone was just there for the children and to have a good time. Attendee Larry Williams said, “It’s an even competition and it gives everybody a chance to win something.  That’s what we love about it. It gives everyone a chance to have fun and to have something in the community.”

All proceeds from this event go to support the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
