Second Amendment Sales Tax kicks off tomorrow

Mississippi’s Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday will be in full effect over the weekend.

This means sales tax is waived on firearms, ammunition, and hunting supplies. Dad’s Super Pawn Manager Jeff McGill tells News 25 this is the busiest time of the year for the shop.

It is a healthy balance of regular customers and those looking to purchase a firearm for the first time. “A lot of repeat business, a lot of first timers. We try to help them pick out which firearms are best for them. Coach them on safety and it is just great all around for the consumer.”

Dad’s Super Pawn in Gulfport will also be open on Sunday to assist customers.
