Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday runs through Sunday

Labor Day isn’t the only holiday happening this weekend, Mississippi’s Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday kicked off this morning and runs through Sunday.

WXXV News 25 caught up with one Gulfport business owner to talk about what this weekend means for the sportsmen in the Magnolia State. Dad’s Super Pawn Owner Kevin Riley said, “So, right now at Dad’s Super Pawn, we have the Second Amendment Tax Free Weekend. This is the sportsmen weekend. Ya’ll it’s a great thing for our state. Okay because all of the sportsmen, they get a big break for the hunting season coming up. This is great for everybody. All of the ammo is tax free; all of the hunting firearms are tax free, gun cases, all those kinds of stuff to go hunting with. The Second Amendment Tax Free Weekend for the state of Mississippi, it’s fabulous.”
