SEC Men’s Basketball: Ole Miss vs. Tennessee
The omicron variant of COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on college athletics, having forced the cancelation of six bowl games and more than 200 men’s and women’s college basketball games.
As a result, the NCAA medical advisory group is changing its definition of a fully vaccinated individual as someone who has received the COVID-19 booster shot, if eligible, as first reported by Sports Illustrated.
Fully vaccinated athletes are not required to quarantine as close contacts and are exempt from regular COVID-19 testing which becomes critical with March Madness right around the corner.
Here’s a game that wasn’t canceled due to COVID, Ole Miss men on the road taking on #18 Tennessee.
Tennessee wins 66-60.
