Search for missing man leads to his body in Moss Point and arrest in case

A Moss Point man has been charged in connection with a missing man found dead on Wednesday morning.

Police said 22-year-old Johnny Anderson was charged with murder and was taken to Jackson County jail. Bond has not been set pending an initial appearance.

Police say the body of 28-year-old Spencer Watson of Pascagoula on Wednesday morning in a wooded area off Baywood Drive in Moss Point.

Watson was reported missing in Pascagoula earlier in the day. Moss Point, working on a report of shots fired in the area of Baywood Drive and River Pine Road on Monday, worked information that led to the discovery of Watson’s body.

Moss Point is actively investigating the case and the circumstances that led to the incident.
