Search efforts underway after plane crashes into Lake Pontchartrain

NEW ORLEANS, Miss. (WXXV)- Search efforts out of New Orleans continue today for a plane that went down in Lake Pontchartrain Monday night.
The plane originated out of Million Air in Gulfport.
According to WDSU in New Orleans, Coast Guard officials were notified about a downed Cessna Aircraft that lost contact with New Orleans Lakefront Airport.
As of this hour, no victims have been found. However, Coast Guard search and rescue crews have found a seat cushion from the plane.
A press conference regarding this crash is being held over at Million Air at 1 this afternoon.
