Sea turtle release being rescheduled due to Idalia

Due to Tropical Storm Idalia’s projection to reach hurricane strengths in the Gulf of Mexico, IMMS has postponed the sea turtle release scheduled for tomorrow.

The safety, health, and success of the rehabilitated sea turtles is what is causing the postponement.

IMMS wants to give them the best chance at survival and waiting for the storm to pass is the best way to do this.

The release is planned to be rescheduled for next week.
