Scrapin the Coast wraps up on the Coast Coliseum
The 24th annual Scrapin the Coast wrapped up Sunday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
Many car enthusiasts showed up for the final day of the mega car show. Car owners from across the South entered their suped-up rides into various award categories or just showed up to show off their ride.
Hear more from participants on their modifications to their cars and experience in the huge show. Alabama resident Ben Ray said, “I usually, you see me at every other show. Uh, I said ‘Let’s try Scrapin’ this year. We took off, came on down, bunch of people we know here, bunch of distributors and stuff we sell for here, and we’re having a blast.”
Scrapin the Coast attendee Dallas Sampey said, “So really the idea was just to kind of make it look, uh, like a racecar that came straight out of the sixties. That’s the reason for the paint scheme, the reason that we went with the single stage paint and everything. Just wanted it to look like vintage, old, it’s been raced.”
