Sci-fi fans gather at the Coast Coliseum for 45th CoastCon
Mississippi’s longest running and largest science fiction, fantasy, and gaming convention is currently on the Gulf Coast.
CoastCon has made its 45th return to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It started off as a literary convention, but due to the huge fan base it has evolved to include authors, artists, celebrities from movies, and so much more.
CoastCon also has one of the largest gaming floors of any convention in the Gulf South.
One of the fan favorites of the whole convention is meeting the celebrity guests. Assistant Convention Director Tiffany Brown said, “This year’s celebrity guest is actually Kevin Thompson. He was an Ewok in Star Wars, so we’re all super excited to have him here.”
