School schedule changes due to weather
In anticipation of severe weather potential, schools around South Mississippi have announced scheduled changes.
The Picayune, Pearl River Central, Poplarville, and Heritage Christian Academy Schools will be closed on April 10th, 2024 due to inclement weather.
George County School District administration has made the decision to close school on Wednesday, April 10 for all students and staff. Students and staff should return on Thursday, April 11.
Due to the threat of inclement weather, William Carey University locations in Hattiesburg, Tradition, and Baton Rouge, La., will be closed Wednesday, April 10. Campuses are scheduled to re-open as normal on Thursday, April 11.
Due to the possibility of severe weather conditions, all Pearl River Community College campuses will BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10. On-campus classes will transition to online learning for April 10th. Check Canvas course for instructions. Online classes will proceed as normal. Dorm students will receive additional communication via email.
In anticipation of severe weather, all operations at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and along the Gulf Coast will be closed on Wednesday, April 10. Students should expect to hear from faculty regarding any transition to online course delivery.
Due to inclement weather, MGCCC campuses and centers will be closed on Wednesday, April 10. We will reopen for normal hours on Thursday, April 11. The residence halls and cafeteria will remain open at the Perkinston Campus.
Due to the predicted weather conditions, all MSU Extension Head Start centers in Harrison County will be closed on Wednesday, April 10.
