School closures for Thursday, January 23rd, 2025
Due to the ongoing winter weather, schools in South Mississippi are announcing schedule changes. We will continue to update this page as more changes are announced.
Pascagoula Gautier School District schools and buildings will remain closed on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025.
Gulfport School District will be closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The Pass Christian School District will remain closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
All schools in the Diocese of Biloxi will remain closed on Thursday, January 23rd.
Resurrection Catholic Elementary and Middle/High School will remain closed on Thursday, January 23rd.
Ocean Springs School District has decided to extend its closure through Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Coast Episcopal School will be closed Thursday, January 23rd, 2025.
Pearl River County School District will remain closed on Thursday, January 23.
The Moss Point School District will remain closed Thursday, January 23, 2025.
The Harrison County School District will be closed on Thursday, January 23.
The George County School District has made the decision to cancel school on Thursday, January 23.
Jackson County School District will be closed Thursday, January 23rd, 2025.
Christian Collegiate Academy will be closed Thursday, January 23rd, 2025.
St. Alphonsus Catholic School will remain closed on Thursday, January 23.
MGCCC locations will remain closed on Thursday, January 23rd. All classes will be online.
The University of Southern Mississippi campus, teaching and research sites along the Gulf Coast will remain closed and in-person classes will be canceled on Thursday, Jan. 23.
William Carey University’s Hattiesburg campus will re-open Thursday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. Afternoon and night classes will meet on their regular schedules.
WCU’s Tradition/Biloxi and Baton Rouge campuses will remain closed on Thursday, Jan 23. Classes will meet online at both locations. Normal operation and class schedules will resume at all three campuses on Friday, Jan. 24.
Gulfport Job Corps Center, 3300 20th Street, Gulfport, MS will be closed on January 27th, 2025.
Stone County School District will be closed Thursday, January 23rd.
St. James Catholic School will be closed Thursday, January 23rd.
Saint Stanislaus will be closed on Thursday, January 23.
Our Lady Academy will be closed on Thursday, January 23.
All MSU Extension Head Start centers will be closed on Thursday, January 23.
