Scheduled water outage/ boil water notice in areas in Gulfport
(Gulfport, Mississippi) – Due to a water main repair the City of Gulfport has scheduled a “Water Outage / Boil Water Notice” for the citizens and businesses in the vicinity extending from Hewes Avenue to Searle Avenue, and from Glover Avenue to 41st Street.
Additionally, this encompasses Chamberlain Avenue between Glover Avenue and 41st Street, and 41st Street between Chamberlain Avenue and Searle Avenue.
The “Water Outage / Boil Water Notice” has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, weather permitting.
Citizens who acquire their drinking water from this area are asked to boil water vigorously for one minute and let it cool before consuming.
The Gulfport Public Works Department will alert residents when the water meets the standards of the Safe Drinking Water Law.
