Scarlet Pearl fundraising for breast cancer awareness

They’re painting the town of D’Iberville pink at the Scarlet Pearl Casino all in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the thousands of people in our area and beyond who have battled with this disease.

They’re lighting the town and fashion runway pink again at the Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville all to help heighten awareness of breast cancer and raise support for those who are in the fight of their life with this deadly disease. Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort Director of Promotions, Events, and Entertainment Vicki Haskins said, “October is one of our favorite months here at the Scarlet Pearl. This is when we turn the building pink. We turn all the table game layouts to pink layouts. We also give all of our associates pink ribbons to wear.”

The casino is also upping the ante in the fight against breast cancer with its annual upcoming fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. “We have our Pink Pearls Save the Girls. It’s October 20th in the Strand Event Center. This is where we invite our models, survivors, to model fashions provided by Dillard’s,” said Haskins.

People from all walks of life will walk the runway in this third annual event. All proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help in the fight against breast cancer. “Susan G. Komen keeps their research here locally. We really want to support them and help them find a cure. It touches so many people,” said Haskins.

Tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased on the Scarlet Pearl Casino website and potential sponsors can sign up there as well.
