Scam Artist Round Two

A Lucedale man who posed as a youth minister and was charged with scamming Jackson County businesses in October is at it again. Sheriff Mike Ezell tells News 25 that 29-year-old Tommy Boulton was arrested again this afternoon for allegedly trying to do the same thing to one of the previous victims.
Boulton is accused of posing as a youth pastor and asking a Helena man for a second church contribution. The man arranged for Boulton to meet him at his home and then notified the sheriff’s department.
When investigators arrived, Boulton took off running. Neighbors helped chase him and when he was caught, he was charged with three counts of false pretense.
Boulton is in the adult detention center on a $3,000 bond.
