Scammers are calling from unknown numbers, claiming to be sheriff’s deputies.

The call usually mention the resident has an active warrant and must pay a fine or face arrest.

The sheriff’s office says they are not tracking the origin of these calls.

The department wants to remind every they will never ask for anyone to send money through a call.
