Saucier man sentenced to life for burglary, larceny

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Saucier man is sentenced to life behind bars on burglary and grand larceny charges after the theft of guns, cash, and forestry equipment.

Twenty-nine-year-old Logan D’elena was found guilty after a two-day trial in Harrison County.

The case stems from a December 2022 incident in which D’elena was seen in a truck leaving someone’s property with a trailer full of forestry equipment.

When Harrison County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene, they found the house on the property had also been broken into and 15 guns and ammunition had been stolen from a gun safe.

D’elena later traded some of the forestry equipment for a motorcycle and cash.

During his trial, D’elena was also classified as a habitual offender with three prior felony convictions for burglary, which played a factor in the life sentence.
