‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ program

You are never too old to enjoy some Christmas magic which is why for the past 14 years Home Instead Senior Care has put on the ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ program.

With the help of more than 60,000 volunteers across the nation, this important holiday program has provided two million gifts for lonely and isolated seniors.

CVS Pharmacy’s across the coast donate space for a Christmas tree with ornaments, each with a gift request things like slippers, blankets, and lotion.

Mary Sukiennik, manager at Home Instead, tells News 25 though these gifts are small, they make a big impact in these seniors’ lives. “They are so excited that someone actually took the time to shop for them and that they had someone from the agencies that they know deliver them and sit down and chat with them for a few minutes because they are lonely too.”

You have until December 5th to pick up a gift and return it unwrapped to the pharmacy.
