Santa Claus is coming to town

With December fast approaching, Christmas is right around the corner. The Salvation Army is doing the most good this Christmas season.
On November 18th at 11, Santa Claus is coming to the Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. The Salvation Army will be alongside St. Nick kicking off their bell-ringing campaign and their Angel Tree Program.
Commander of the Salvation Army Gulf Coast area Major Gary Sturdivant tells News 25 the true importance of the season. “I can’t imagine a young child if they were to wake up on Christmas morning and there be nothing there because these kids at school are talking it up, you know, Santa’s coming to see me. If a child were to wake up on Christmas morning without a gift, I just don’t know how that would even feel. So, that’s kinda why we do what we do.”
So far, at least two hundred families have signed up to participate in this year’s Angel Tree Program.
