Sandsational Sand Sculpting Brings Magic to Edgewater Mall

There are 26 miles of sandy beach on the Missisippi Gulf Coast, but now, Edgewater Mall in Biloxi has 75 tons of its own sand inside!

Sandsational Sand Sculpting out of Melbourne, Florida began its annual sand sculpture Tuesday. This year’s theme is Come Out and Play and will feature images of families and children enjoying outdoor fun in various settings. The crew will sculpting over the next ten days and will debut the finished product on January 30th.

Jill Harris of Sandsational Sand Sculpting says, "We enjoy working with the sand because you get to do something on a large scale and it sculpts fairly quickly. I’ve been doing this for 19 years and we always enjoy coming out to Edgewater Mall.”

If you can’t make it right away, don’t worry, the finished sculpture will be on display until May 31st.
