Sandbag locations opening in South Mississippi
As heavy rainfall continues across South Mississippi all week long, sandbag locations are opening for residents along the Gulf Coast.
In Hancock County, residents can find sand bags at the following locations:
- Hancock County Emergency Operations Center-18333 Highway 603
- Hancock County Farmers Market-3068 Longfellow Drive, Bay St. Louis
Residents are asked to bring their own shovels.
In D’Iberville, residents can get sandbags under the I-110 bridge near the marine. You must bring your own shovel.
In Harrison County, several locations are opening to residents:
- Harrison County Road Department, 10076 Lorraine Rd. Gulfport
- District 1 D’Iberville Work Center, 10085 Doris Deno Ave. D’Iberville
- District 2 Lyman Work Center, 15001 County Farm Rd. Gulfport
- District 3 Long Beach Work Center, 605 North Seal Ave. Long Beach
- District 4 Orange Grove Work Center, 8300 34th Ave. Gulfport
- District 5 Woolmarket Work Center, 16395 Old Woolmarket Rd. Biloxi
In the City of Long Beach, the sand bag self fill station is available at the Girls Softball Fields located at 788 Klondyke Road Long Beach, MS
Sand bag locations in Gulfport:
- Intersection of Glover Street and Hewes Avenue
- Gulfport Fire Station 2 located at 42nd Avenue and 12th Street
- Sand Beach Courthouse Pier parking lot, 96 Courthouse Rd.
Sand bag locations in Biloxi:
- 195 Main Street at the former Water Department Building
- AJ Holloway Sports Complex
- Fire Station 9 located at 9370 Oaklawn Road
In Pearl River County, a self serve sandbag station is located behind the Pearl River County Emergency Operations Center located at 810 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, MS 39470

The city of Wiggins has sand bags at the city barn on the corner of First and Davis St. This location is self-serve. Residents are asked to bring their own shovels and fill only what they need.
