Sand bag locations are open in Jackson County

With the tropical system moving into our area, Jackson County is helping residents prepare for a wet weekend.

Sand bag locations are popping up across the Gulf Coast and many took advantage. One Ocean Springs resident explains reasons why he’s preparing for the storm and how a family member told him about the sandbag location in Ocean Springs on Pine Drive.  Ocean Springs resident Aderlin Soler said, “You see, my mother-in-law, she stays up-to-date with all of this. She gave me all types of locations. This is the closest one.”

Residents should also secure loose items in their yards such as lawn furniture or items that could become projectiles in strong winds.
