Sam Huff named East Central head football coach

East Central High School named Sam Huff as the next head man of the football program.

The Hornets didn’t have to go very far to find their guy with Huff having been on staff for the last 15 years in various roles including both offensive and defensive coordinator as well as the line coach on both sides of the ball.

Huff taking over for the recently departed Eric Collins who is now working as the head coach at Pearl River in Louisiana.

East Central went 15-7 during that two year stretch with a pair of playoff appearances and is still just a few years removed from its run to the 4A state title game under Seth Smith back in 2017 and Huff has been around for all of it.
