Salvation Army helping those in need with stimulus payments

While many have received their first, second, and now third round of stimulus checks, there are some people who haven’t yet because they do not have a physical address to use.

This has been a problem for the homeless who qualify for stimulus money, but there is some good news for those in the South Mississippi area.

The Salvation Army in Gulfport’s address at 2019 22nd Street can be used for those who are in need of a physical address. If you do so, be sure to keep an eye out for when that check or debit card comes in. Ted Hearn with the Salvation Army Advisory Council and Feed my Sheep said, “You just need to go and check- if you use that address, you need to go and check it often, or they’ll be sending the checks back.”

The deadline for filing 2020 tax returns has been extended until May 17th.
