Salvation Army gives back to families at Angel Tree distribution event
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-Thursday morning, hundreds of local families received a little extra holiday joy thanks to the Salvation Army.
The annual Angel Tree Distribution happened at the Center of Hope in Gulfport.
Families lined up for the Angel Tree gift distribution and organizers saw a steady flow of families throughout the day.
Volunteers worked to hand out wrapped gifts to families who registered earlier this fall through the Angel Tree program.
Each gift represents a child in need whose wish list was fulfilled by generous community donors.
The Angel Tree program is designed to help families who may be struggling during the holidays, ensuring children receive toys, clothing, and essential items for Christmas.
